My name is Elizabeth Christopher.

I’m a writer, editor, and marketer. For more than 20 years, I’ve been helping organizations tell their stories through clean, compelling content that engages customers and builds communities.

The career stuff

I started my career at a small magazine, learning editorial rigor. I then earned a master’s degree in English Composition and taught writing to non-traditional students at a nationally recognized urban public university. That experience made me a better reader, writer, thinker, and creative who is eager to engage with complex ideas. Most important, I’ve helped clients and colleagues learn how to strengthen their own writing.

As the dot-com bubble expanded, I joined the scrappy marketing departments of young tech research and analyst firms where I learned all aspects of marketing, from communications and PR to event management. Post Y2K, I moved into the fast-paced, well-funded marketing world of global IT consulting and services. As a copywriter, I enjoyed engaging readers and customers through print, digital, and video. In 2020, my work with a top 10 IT services provider was selected as an ITSMA Marketing Excellence Awards finalist.

Now out on my own, I do for my clients what I’ve done throughout my career: create copy that speaks to audiences and turns readers into fans. Check out my portfolio page for samples of my marketing content. Find out how you can work with me here.

The personal stuff

I am deeply committed to community service and have volunteered with and served on the boards of non-profits and charities. Most recently, I’ve helped concieve, launch, and run a Writers Studio at an arts center in the city where I live.

My short fiction and essays have appeared in literary journals, national print and online magazines, and local newspapers. You can see some of my fiction, essays, and columns on my publications page.

I live north of Boston, MA, where I love to write, jog, and spend time with my family.
