I’m a writer, editor, and project manager with 25+ years of experience helping organizations communicate clearly and effectively—online, in print, and across platforms. I’ve worked in many sectors—including tech, business consulting, financial services, higher ed, and the social sector—writing and producing everything from long-form thought leadership to integrated ad, social, and digital marketing campaigns.

My Background:
I like to say I have editorial roots and a teaching mindset. I began my at a small monthly magazine, where I learned editorial discipline. That foundation led me to earn a master’s degree in English Composition from a nationally recognized urban public university—where I also taught writing to non-traditional students. Teaching sharpened my ability to not just get the words right, but to help others illuminate the heart of their ideas.
Joining the marketing departments in both big tech and small consultancies, I gained experience as a project and communications manager, leading content projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams that included executives, marketers, and designers. Together, we created content that unified brand voice, amplified our message, and delivered results. An example: our integrated multimedia storytelling campaign called “The Game Changers” helped a leading tech firm get noticed as a human-centered top-tier service provider and earned recognition as an ITSMA Marketing Excellence Awards finalist.
Today, I’m a freelancer, writing for all sectors, including tech, higher ed, and nonprofits. I’m especially passionate about helping nonprofit organizations optimize their communications of all kinds, including articles, blog posts, web content, email, press releases, and more. Through years of volunteering with causes I care deeply about, I have gained a deep understanding of the unique challenges nonprofits face.

As a creative writer, I know the power of a good story. My creative pieces have been published in newspapers, magazines, and literary journals. My storytelling sensibility informs everything I write—helping me connect with audiences emotionally.
